Helping Hands Ceylon successfully hosted a remarkable dry ration donation event on August 4th, 2024, benefiting 60 families in Thannekumbura, one of Kandy’s largest provincial areas. The event featured Rs 5,000 worth of essential food items for each family, under the leadership of our esteemed Managing Director, Dr. Vandana Rajapakshe.
We were privileged to have distinguished guests in attendance, including a generous foreign donor, the Chief of the Samurdhi Division, the Divisional Officer, the Economic Development Officer, and members of both Helping Hands Ceylon and the local welfare council.
The event was a testament to the power of community and generosity. The support from our partners and the local community created an inspiring and uplifting experience for all. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to this meaningful initiative.
